Muckairn Church

|
Muckairn Church is a ‘B’ listed Telford type Church built in 1829. It has been maintained to a high standard, having recently been completely redecorated and renovated. There are 135 members, a Congregational Board and Kirk Session which has 18 Elders.
The congregation is warm, welcoming and willing to work for the benefit of both church and the community.
Regular activities include the Guild, the choir, a Friday Club for primary school children and a bell ringers group.
We have been successfully linked with Kilchrenan and Dalavich since 1981.
Worship is held every Sunday at Muckairn at 11.30am with Kilchrenan and Dalavich alternating Sundays. Where there is a fifth Sunday in the month, a combined service is held in each church on a rotational basis.
The manse is a Telford ‘B’ listed building. It lies adjacent to the church. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 public rooms and a study. There is double glazing and central heating throughout. It is set in its own large mature garden and has a garage and carport.

New field archery club with shooting grounds in the Inverawe Forest 3 miles east of Taynuilt, Argyll. The club is affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) and the Scottish Archery Association (SAA). The project is a joint venture with Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) from whom we lease the ground.
Field archery lends itself well to any bow style may it be modern compound bows or Olympic style recurve bows but it is also very well suited (and a regular haunt) for the traditionalist that would rather use a longbow, flatbow, or hunter type recurve bow with wood arrows. The choice is open to the individual members.
The committee is now actively recruiting new members that are committed to helping with construction of the two 12 target archery courses. If you are interested please contact us by email.
Archery tuition and a favourable club membership will be available for these new recruits to the club.

There has been a pre-school group for children in the village
since before the 1960s however Taynuilt Playgroup in its
present form was incepted in 1972.
The group is a member of the Scottish Pre-School Play Association
(SPPA) and caters for children from birth right through to school
age however it is used predominantly by the under threes who are

each session and ensures the children have access to different
toys and are encouraged to join in the various activities offered.

bring their children along at anytime during the session.
